NotImpossibleNow.com's Elliot Kotek talks to James Fisher and Ken Young about their DIY Siege Stoves at Maker Faire 2014, a new disaster relief tool kit essential.

NotImpossibleNow.com's Elliot Kotek found a displaced New Zealander by the name of James Fisher at Maker Faire Bay Area 2014 , where he was demonstrating a new invention by sandal-pioneer Ken Young (whose sandal became the "Teva").

Made from existing and recycled materials, the tools may not be "latest tech," but their ability to repurpose an ordinary can into a stove or oven struck us as extremely useful for developing nations and disaster relief zones.

Take a look at the video above and put them away for a rainy day. Better yet, send them somewhere that needs them. For more info, or to track down your own set, visit www.siegestoves.com
